Only new songs? Stuff we had heard before? Like... Teenage Anarchist, White Crosses, Rapid Decompression, Girl I Used to Love, Spanish Moss, David Johanssen's Soul, Southwest Florida Sunset, Bob Dylan Dream, Hot Shots, Lehigh Acres, Modern Life in the Western World, and that one acoustic song "Sympathy for Acting like a child"?' Or like, crazy new songs?

His phone doesn't work in Florida, it was pretty miraculous we ran into each other.

Both! Even Vicious hadn't heard a few of the songs, and others had been completely changed and they sounded like a new song. At least thats what Andrew told us, I recognized a few songs but for the most part it was all new to me.
I'm now going to make a long post about the adventures of last night. |

So.... the adventure of last night. I got to Gainesville around 7:20. I had been calling/texting Vicious since I was 20 miles out and he wasn't responding so I was worried I wouldn't find him or he had been in an accident or something. I drove up past the venue, tried calling Vicious again with no answer, and then sent Justin a text saying "I'm here and can't get in touch with Vicious" I turn my car around to go to the parking garage and Vicious comes driving towards me! We go to the parking garage, and then to Boca Fiesta. Boca was fucking delicious this time, I guess I just ordered like the worst thing on the menu the last time. We (really Vicious) talked to Warren a bit, we ate, Vicious tipped way more than I did to make me look bad, and we left. Ten minutes later we return because, being the dumbass I am, I left his ID on the table. I think we then went and looked at stuff to climb but then when we found something someone was like "I'm not doing that" and then I didn't and we left, I think I'm mixing things up a little bit here.... Then we went back to the venue, learned doors opened at 10, and then went and got ice cream! The girl there gave me 10 free samples before we actually ordered anything and Vicious like 8. We went back to the venue, ran into Atom's roommate (John I think was his name) and then doors opened. THIS PART IS ABOUT THE CONCERT BECAUSE YOU GUYS PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO READ ALL ABOUT THE NIGHT:Vicious talked to Andrew, Tom, and Heather (Tom's wife.... I think thats her name I had never met her before) and we learned that a certain someone visits the forum from time to time and reads the shit we talk on here. Against Me opened under the name B Verse, which is a sexy band name. I recognized white crosses and a couple others but I don't know what to call them. Vicious hadn't heard three or four songs and you know he is one hardcore mo fo when it comes to AM! The new drummer (forget his name....) played fine but he was no Warren. It was the first show though so I'll cut him some slack. By "he was no Warren" I mean he wasn't all smiley dancey like Warren was on the drums, he sounded good and all though. I didn't really talk to him so I didn't get to give him my test. The test is a single question that has nothing to do with anything, but it'll tell me if he is coo or not. The question is "if you were a ninja turtle which would you be?" because thats the first thing I ever talked to Warren about (and he is the first AM! member I ever talked to). There is only one turtle he can be. So at the show Vicious met this girl, her name was Misty (like the ginger from pokemon). At one point they started talking about politics and then the military's don't ask don't tell policy. She said some hilarious shit so I figured I'd share it with you. At one point while talking about homosexuality she said something along the lines of "Who cares?! Its not like they choose to be gay! Its their choice!" Then later still on the same subject she said "They don't choose to be gay! Thats like choosing to be black, if you could would you choose to be black? HELL NO! Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" I feel like I'm forgetting stuff but I need to get ready for class. I'm sure when Vicious gets on he will tell you guys a lot more about the actual show and stuff.

I don't understand. How am I supposed to warm up to a new drummer when I'm reading these posts about how they didn't play a single old song? It would have been smart if they just played RAR in its entirety, then everybody would love George.

I can't believe you walked by and didn't go in, damn. That's almost as bad as my dream about sharks last night. Listen to the Draft, the drums sound awesome. I actually like the Draft better than HWM.

Oh God, this is going to be weird, all these songs I have grown accustomed to changed dramatically. So when you say dramatically changed you mean from like The First Version of Rice and Bread -> Final Version?

I don't know, because that would mean it would just be this new album. RAR through New Wave was all with Warren. That's too many songs to stop playing.
