It's such a small venue with a small amount of people, so it's not like it'll be some huge rush when the doors open. A lot of people probably won't even head straight for the front of the stage. Even if you got there and were toward the back of the line, you'd still have a good chance of getting up front.

maybe over the winter break or next summer i'll take a road trip down for that show.

I messaged Against Me! on myspace explaining the entire Common Grounds says 18+ but your website ticket says All Ages, and he said to find him that day and he would make sure I got inside.

yeah i ordered tickets to the show last night and it said 18+ unless accompanied by an adult.
as far as getting there at noon, that might be a little too early the band might not even be there yet but yeah they always just walk around the venue and outside before the show but it sucks cause its no re entry for under 21 so youll have to pick to go inside or wait outside..same thing after the show. its my favorite venue to see AM! at though so im really axcited too!

i'm from gainesville, and i frequent common grounds all the time.

that particular show is on sunday so doors are at 6 and the show will start at 7.

whenever they play common grounds they just hang out so as long as you are at the show it will be possible for you to meet them. they are super cool, so just go up to them. and there is not much around common grounds so getting there earlier than 6 would be boring and unnecessary.

as far as age, they are pretty tight usually about the 18+ thing as gainesville has very strick liquor laws and many venues have gotten in trouble. as long as someone older is vouching for you, then you are fine. i don't know the specific age they need to be, but i doubt it matters.

*i forgot to add that common grounds is about a 450 person venue but they usually sell around 300 tickets to shows so that way it stays for comfortable. i've been to shows there with around 500 people and it was suffocating.

I doubt they'll be there too early considering they all live within a few blocks of the venue. There are no "gates" there and the bar may just be open before the show but I'm sure they'll kick everyone out before the doors open. I think since they're from there people don't make quite a big a deal when they play so it may not be that crazy. if you're used to seeing them at shows like the Foo Fighters you will definitely have an awesome time.

I am worried they will play their most recent stuff at my October 5th concert, like the Anna is Fucking Stool Pigeon, and I won't know the words to it

Well "Anna is a Fucking Stool Pigeon" is Tom's solo stuff, so I doubt the band would play many of his solo songs at their show. I'm sure it will be a good mix of songs, don't worry.

Has anyone ever had a problem at this venue? Like you or a friend were kicked out for a ridiculous reason?
