| How did I know piano was coming on the new AM!? Seems like everyone goes for the piano at some point ... Not that that's a bad thing, I think that's fantastic, I love piano in rock albums. In any case, "White Crosses" is probably the best new song I've heard so far. Though I do like the Bob Dylan song as well, just because it's so frank and silly. Honestly, I just hope Butch Vig doesn't do so much volume battling as he did in New Wave. |

| It needs to come out...NOW. 2010 sounds so far away.... Vamonos. AHORA. I wasn't a fan of the production of New Wave. Although I did like the songs. Except that song Animal. Talk about filler. |

I wouldn't put it past him. Tom digs a lot of stuff with synth it seems.
I mean... I dig Madonna too, though, so I can't say shit. |

Considering some of the B-sides that were released from the New Wave sessions, I'm surprised at the songs they chose to put on the album. I just hope they make better choices for this next one. _________________ "My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." - Ayn Rand

AGREED!
no offense but I have low expectations for this album as a whole. I have yet to hear the new songs. but after hearing the last two albums I'm not expecting much. the goods will be few and far between. I'm not a "hardcore undeground only" AM! fan but t seems the with each new album they get worse and worse. The ideas and heart are still there in the lyrics but the ability to write (instrumentally) has suffered. I will always listen to their new stuff though, cause when they are good they are one of the best. Plus they are still alot better than anything else out there now.....especially when it comes to mainstream rock and/or roll.
where can the new songs be heard? |
