PostSubject: Cooking with Graham - A several part series.   Tue Dec 15, 2009 10:45 pm

In this series I will be showing you how to cook very simple things, in ways that are harder than necessary. My motto is, if it takes any real amount of prep work, it's not really worth it.
First food. Frozen grilled chicken.
What you need...

Bag of precooked pre-grilled chicken, frozen, and preferably only slightly thawed (that way it makes a cool sizzle when you're thriwing it on the pan)

Some olive oil or something like it

various seasonings

and some burners and shit for cooking

First things first, put the oil stuff in the pan, then put in your seasonings and stuff, turn the burners on high (Because it cooks faster, duh) and then let it get hot, then throw the chicken in there, push it around like you're actually doing stuff, throw some more seasoning on top so it looks cool, then BAM it should be done when it's hot, though it's already cooked so it's not like you need to be super thorough.

This is what I came up with, and it's glorious.

Hope you enjoy this kickass recipe and I hope to make some more soonish. maybe tomorrow when I get hungry. (PS on my second batch, I threw in some diced, dried onions. It made it taste better.)

I'm thinking more chicken, because... we have that massive bag and it's easy as fuck to make.
I might try parmesan crusted chicken next.

Next dish. Pumpkin Roll
What you need is...

Frozen pumpkin roll

and 1 knife

First pull the pumpkin roll out of the freezer
make sure your knife is clean (or not, that's really your call)
and cut in like, 1in in, or however much you want.
Make sure you cut all the way through, no body likes partial pumpkin roll
You can either put it on a plate (if you're economical you could just use the same plate from chicken making) or just eat it right from your hand, like a pro.

doesn't it look delicious?

PostSubject: Re: Cooking with Graham - A several part series.   Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:33 pm

I cook what we have at the house, since I'm a poor college student who lives with his parents still, with no real time for shopping.
The recipes I can cook from scratch are...
Cookies, Guinness ice cream, parmesan crusted chicken, chicken noodle soup, and a few other random bits of food.

I also make some good jerkey. But since all those things require ingredients I don't have immediate access too, my cooking is sadly limited to things that include..

Frozen chicken, frozen cookie dough, Ramen noodles, chicken broth, cereal and a shit ton of spices. Any suggestions would be nice though.

put the chicken in the oven at around 400 with Lawrys season salt and Garlic powder on it for 20-30 minutes.
broil it for about 3-5 min.
EAT.
its really good, though i normally use chicken leg quarters to make it, i imagine that frozen chicken would work fine.

Ooo sounds awesome. I'll try that tonight if I don't end up making parmesan chicken.

Sounds delicious. I think I'll be making omlets next, because we have eggs in the fridge.

Exactly. I actually just finished off the rest of the frozen chicken with the last recipe, so nothing new tonight, but tomorrow, expect something glorious (maybe)
