| Err . . hi? I should try to break the ice. . . what's something I can relate to you about? Ah!! Well i'm obviously an AM! fan . . .cause I'm here, otherwise I'm a big fan of Alkaline Trio, The Sex Pistols, Michelle Shocked, Ani DiFranco, The Lawrence Arms, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Eat World, Billie Holiday and Brandi Carlile. . . mmmmm I tried to list a good mix of my favourites there, but by far of course I hold AM! at my top. I finally had the chance to meet the band and see them play at Warped last year. That was the day I decided that I was going to be a musician. I'd always wanted to, but I'd gotten a lot of shit about it being a hard thing to do. They're right, but I don't want to be famous. A lesser (far lesser) black flag would be ideal I suppose. Is someone saying "oh, I can relate to this stranger through their interests and words" yet? I've nothing of interest to say in all honesty. I enjoy writing poorly constructed essays, and reading is a big time consumer of mine (Oscar Wilde, "The Catcher in the Rye", "The Story of the Eye", Stephen King, Henry Rollins, "Running With Scissors"). I weekly waste all my cash on guitar strings, novels (working in a bookstore doesn't help me there), vinyl, and film. Lastly, I adore this forum. I think it's grand that a group of fans can be so connected and nice. You don't see that often enough. Find me! Friend me! Tap dance with me! http://www.flickr.com/photos/thedecayoflying/http://www.last.fm/user/LizGarretthttp://liztylur.wordpress.com/"oh! she's just like me!" right now someone reading this is tap dancing. |

| Howdy! I'm listening to Jimmy Eat World as I read this! And I'm glad to hear that you're a fan of Brandi Carlile, that woman is amazing beyond comprehension. Also, we spend money on the same things! _________________ ((FDK))"More than likely, though, kids won't even notice a ban on flavored cigarettes -- they're all too busy smoking pot." | StoolPigeon wrote: | | The funny thing about this is how Schwarzenbach is like Schwarzenegger and Bach combined. |

Have you ever heard her cover of Radiohead's "Creep"? She floors me in that.
Justin likes to party? I'm a nun from Alaska, we don't party. We violently kill those who oppose us for fun! I assume these things are very closely alike?
Mike - We had a signed copy of "A Wolf at the Table" at the store and someone stole it. I say this because I thought perhaps a fellow Augusten Burroughs fan could feel my pain. |

Stephen Colbert wanted to interview J.D. Salinger, but when he didn't hear from him he called him a phony. _________________ Imagine, if you will, a world without hypothetical situations...
