You're right though. We've got to have them. Mostly just the whole tazing thing really pisses me off a lot.

i was impressed by the part of the video where the one cop shoves a kid who's starting to crowd in and watch, then the other cop comes over and said something into the first cop's ear and there was no more pushing or anything.

That tasing video is nasty, anyone know what happened? A bust up?

There was a house show, some cops drove by to check it out and some kids threw beer cans at them and started a riot. Stupid fucking idiots.

i have read in news reports that the whole thing started all because one guy was dancing in the street and would not move for the police car.
when the cop exited his car to arrest dancing man he cuffed him, which is when his pal (the one was tased) ran up and either tried to knock the cop over or punch him (one report said he was first trying to feed beer to his handcuffed friend). but when this dude came at the cop he got dropped and tased.
from there, the original dancing guy took off and the cop focused his attention on the guy who came at him.
while trying to subdue him he was attacked by a few people as seen in video (kicking and punching someone while they are down looking the other way. see: cowards)
then the 5-0 called for backup and 20 cars responded.

thats what i have gathered from the info i read.
all in all, a stupid situation that started with some guy being an asshole, then more assholes joining in on the general assholeish behavior.
if the guy would have just moved im sure the cops would have just kept on going.
but in this case its a few people making everyone look really bad.

Some kids were also trying to flip a random person's car.

But, the Gainesville Police are a great staff. With my stay out there, I was never a given a reason to even slightly dislike one of the cops. They usually get a long well with the punks that come for Fest and vice versa. I walked by some firemen sitting outside of their station and they were listening to some punk music on their radio.

...Shut up the punx...
