Winner of the Nobel Prize is important because it brings media attention to a world event. That's why I think it should go to someone who works for years towards a peaceful solution to a problem that most of the western media has looked over.

And Obama's increased troop deployment in Afghanistan should've disqualified him immediately.

Yeah, but Mike, the VMAs made me aware that Kanye was a massive twat. So, it balances out. Both prizes have heightened awareness of serious issues.

I look at it this way:

Me and a friend are standing in the parking lot at the college. Subway is right down the road. We make it a goal to go to subway in the future, and we put in the effort to talk about it and consider it. However, that's all we end up doing at the time. All of the sudden, a footlong appears in my hand. Is it logical to think that that would happen? No. But, apparently when you're Obama it is.
