the name of the store describes what it is. the hot topic. whatever is hot they're gonna have. twilight, brokencyde, harry potter....
i hear some hot topics have good stuff but last time i was in mine they had three cds and one vinyl. the cds were the new enimem , brokencyde and killswitch engage. the vinyl was the twilight soundtrack.

i saw this article, and literally tried to find this guy shawn amos' contact info so i could take a shit on him by way of e mail.
if i am going to listen to someone that is going to tell me punk is dead, its not going to be the writer that is linked off of yahoo's front page.

This article is 15 years too late...I'm over it. Punk is dead and this asshole stabbed it for the 5 millionth time.

I still don't buy into the Punk Is Dead crap. I get what they're saying, I really do, but scene is more of a community now, and more defines the sound of the genre. It may not be what it once was, but I'm okay with still calling it punk. I also don't give a shit about Hot Topic. It's all the popular stuff, isn't it? Is that suppose to be punk? I have ideals, and so do a lot of people, instilling that into music, and giving that music a certain sound can be punk. Why not? arguments. Punk is just one big argument anymore. Fuck the selling out argument, fuck the being popular argument(bands do what they want). I'm just sick of the whole fucking thing.

Punk isn't dead, it's just in a coma after being brutally beaten by MTV coming home from a show one night.

There are still great punk bands out there, they are just not in the public eye.

HAHAHA i was thinknig about this article all day. it pissed me the fuck off. this writer has to be like 15. i logged in and just named a bunch of current punk bands. dont say punk is dead, cite Green day and Blink 182 and end it there. its ironic he talks about Ramones, Sex Pistols, and the Clash because none of those bands were main stream in their day.

and Hot Topic is kinda lame but their vinyl selection is top notch.

I do like their vinyl, I picked up a lot of stuff at half price (freakin NOFX live double album for $4, what a steal)

actually i take that back the Clash were playing arenas in the 80's and were on mtv

I don't understand the "punk is dead" argument. Does it really matter? There's nothing more annoying than a music snob. Listen to what you like and call it whatever the fuck ya want.
