I appreciate the interest.
One of the most basic ideas of evolution is that you should make sure you live longer so that you reproduce more. When I apply this to people I have met and myself it makes me realize that we're all a bunch of selfish schmucks trying to get through life so that there can be more of us by the time we die. Well, it makes me depressed because I realize that I'm just one more piece of shit trying to eat, fuck, then sleep on a daily basis. Then again, it makes me relax because I know that no one else is really going towards anything greater than what I am, so I feel pretty free to do whatever I want. Also, it gives me a bit of a direction because I want to be a humanitarian kinda guy. But I'm pretty close to being a nihilistic asshole too, so it can always give me one reason to help people out: So that there can be more good people to make more good people. |
